Refills maintain the dense look of your lash set and to prevent damages from heavy and droopy outgrown lashes.
Lash refills every 2-3 weeks are essential to keeping your lashes looking their best. Depending on your aftercare and natural lash cycle, you may need a refill after 2 weeks, or you may need one after 3 weeks.
Like the hair on your head, your lashes shed daily; many people don't realize this! You lose about 1-5 lashes a day, you rarely notice as they are so fine and thin. Once you lose a natural lash (that has an extension on it) a new one grows in its place.
At an hour refill we will remove any outgrown lash extensions that have moved halfway up your natural lash as its grown. Then we place a new extension/fan on any of the lashes currently without an extension.
The extensions on your natural lashes will shed after or around 4 weeks when properly cared for. It is recommended to get a Lash Fill every 2-3 weeks to maintain fullness. Keep in mind your natural lashes do normally shed 1-5 per day – per eye, being why refills are so important, this also depends on your natural hair growth cycle & client aftercare.
If you are leaving your refill longer than 4 weeks you are going to be leaving your refill appointment with a lot of natural lashes without an extension, as there is only so much we can do in an hour. This means your lashes are not at their fullest potential. They may look fine leaving but don’t forget a lot of those lashes are going to shed, which could happen in the next week.
Because you don’t have many lash extensions on, it will be more noticeable when a few shed. If you continue to leave longer than 4 weeks between fills your lashes will begin to become less and less full as time goes on. The only option at that point is to have a full set so we can lash every single natural lash again. So make sure to keep on top of your lash refills!
